it's not a tumor

to mark the return of james a bunch of us headed over to ellis island on wendesday (appropriate considering he was coming from england). the bartender and i created a great new drink which, by the end of the night and many, many drinks in the hole herself annie christaned the RAZZMA TAZZMA TINI.

i had work yesterday and decided i hate all of my work clothes.
i stole a bunch of stuff from the radio station and am currently listening to it.
i get my hair cut later.
i leave for LA tomorrow.
boo yaka.

unfortunately, when i return my partner in crime patrick will be gone and i will once again have to endure life without him.

but anyway, here are the pictures:

patrick always complains when i take pictures of him.

pat's face, pat's face, pat's face.

my dear, dapper james.

annie was sad that she had so many more beers to drink.

the rest of the pictures were ones that pat took of annie and my boobs and then one of maggie's ear.
alright bitches, i'll see you california. california. california here we commmme.

paco the dj

so i just returned from nyc (via long island) where i saw bridgette's amazing exhibit. i really enjoy having talented friends.
if you in or around lower manhattan in the next few weeks, stop by the tisch building at nyu & check it out.
unfortunately the weather was HORRIFIC. and by horrific i mean bone-chilling cold. so, in a moment of wind burn spawned weakness i decided to book a trip for:

i leave saturday. damn southwest and their 89 dollar tickets.
caroline, danny & carlo better watch out.

eighth deadly sin:

i decided to skip out of my life a little early today to enjoy a nap & some left over birthday cake. instead, i come home to 3 inches of standing urine-y, shit- filled water on my bathroom floor. five rolls of paper towels, four regular towels, two hours of my life and one trip to true value hardware later, the water is off the floor and my bathroom smells like a mixture of Fantastik and ass. lovely way to start the week off. the upside was that i finally cleaned my bathroom. the downside was that all my houseguests left yesterday.

here's a look:

don't judge, we're all very busy at 1510. and we like to pretend we live in a crack house.

so erinfox and rachael mosied on down to the district from their respective new england homes.
in continuing with the 9 days that was my birthday, on actual february 1st, i grabbed patrick and annie and forced them to go to a pretentious, yuppy bar while i whined for an hour about how 22 sucks and i don't want to get older. they patiently obliged, biting their tongues until finally i realized i was boring myself, so i stopped and started having fun.

thursday was work as usual, but i did meet barak obama and joe lieberman. and i got to hang out in an office with a bunch of boys from washington state and annoy them as they continued to help run the country.
it was also 100 days at k's. an impossibly ridiculous tradition.

friday miss rachael and erinfox both made their respective appearances:

we hit some bars, drank some booze.
saturday was bowling.
sunday was recovery... until i went home and hung out with my family. my cousins always get me drunk.

birthday, part ONE

so i kicked off this birthday deuce deuce with a family outing to 9:30.
backstory: my mom and her cousin are the two biggest big head todd fans ever. you've never heard of big head todd? that's probably because you don't listen to or enjoy jam rock played by men who actually have pretty big heads. i don't either. but after years and years of bittersweet playing at graduations, funerals, christmas dinners, easter brunchs, i have become immune to the fact that it sort of isn't very good. but then the day comes once a year when my parents actually leave the house, stay up past their 9 o clock bedtime, drink many many 8 dollar beers and, of course, sit in their almost-vip section chairs. BIG HEAD TODD CONCERT DAY. lucky for me, this day fell the day before my birthday so naturally my present was a ticket. thanks.

this is me and my mother and the birthday chocolate croissant that sam let my mom light.

this is sam in what i think is the coolest picture i've taken in a while.

other than getting my groove on, not much has been going on. i got to drive a black expedition around capital hill all day yesterday. i could move across 3 lanes of traffic without even looking. even cabs stop for you. as soon as those bitches go hybrid, i'm all over that.
